About

This is the California home of One Nation Working Together — a civil, human and economic rights movement aimed at allowing everyone to achieve the American Dream — a secure job, a safe home, and a quality education.

We seek to do this by reordering the nation’s priorities to invest in its most valuable resource – its people.

Right now, banksters and corporate lobbyists are making off with trillions of public dollars, while small businesses can’t get loans, and cities are laying off teachers, police, and firefighters. In this time of economic crisis, it is easy for fear-mongerers to pit groups against each other and to find convenient scapegoats for the problems that plague us.

We reject those attempts at division. Our coalition includes dozens of national organizations that represent communities of Youth, Women, Faith, Labor, Immigrants, LGBT and myriad races, cultures and languages.

The movement will culminate in a massive march on Washington, DC on October 2nd, 2010.

In California there will also be satellite events in Los Angeles and the Bay Area on Oct 2nd:

This will be a great way to meet people excited about charting a hopeful new course for our country.

  • Launching a (pre-event) “Blog Mobile” to gather stories in CA
  • Creating a huge, interactive public display that sends a call to action
  • Door-to-door canvassing to encourage Californians to vote
