Description: A corner vigil in solidarity with the National march/rally in Washington D.C. on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010. Our local action is in Palm Springs, CA and will be the event for the Coachella Valley. We’ll meet/gather at the corner of Tahquitz and Palm Canyon, on the steps of the Welwood Murray Library (this is across from the Starbucks coffee downtown) The idea is for people from all segments of our populace to join together in the demand for education, jobs, and ending the wars. Description: We will meet on October 2nd from 3:30pm until 4:30pm. Meet at Balboa Park at 6th and Laurel St (El Prado). We will start on time so please try and come early! We encourage you to bring signs, noise makers and energy! The location will be changed due to an increase in interest in the event.
For the above reason, we have decided to move the event a few blocks away to Balboa park. We are currently working on securing the space/permit and will let folks know where in the park we will be. Thank you for your patience!
